RAM which is the abbreviation of Random Access Memory is a computer hardware that functions to store datas and program instructions. Unlike magnetic tape or disk that access data sequentially, the contents of RAM can be accessed randomly or not to refer to the arrangement of data. The data in RAM is temporary, in other words the data stored will be lost if the computer is switched off or the power supply connected to it is revoked.
